An epic science fiction novel.
Our story begins where the last book ends. Beth & Bud, along with her people have successfully got the two ships out from the ground. They are still in the Magic World. Kaspa, Ruth, Luke, Lacy, and Meeka are in a cabin on a ship in an armada sent to capture Beth and destroy the three ships. They are playing forfeit games. (Ed.)
Beth looked at them both. “It was hard enough with one ship, now I have three to think about. I have to arrange some things.”
She thought for a moment. “Ship, Pale. I want Marcus and Wesandra to take one hundred people to the first ship we found—Red. And I want Pollyanna and Kaline to do the same to the second ship—Black. Can you tell your sister and brother and then issue an announcement to ask Wesandra, Marcus, Pollyanna and Keanu to come here so I can speak with them.”
“I will do that now, Beth.” the ship replied. She waited.
When they arrived, she told them her concern. “After we have left this world, we will land somewhere safe and arrange our numbers properly into the three ships. But the priority right now is to leave, so The Collective leaves this world alone,” Beth told them. They agreed to gather up people from all groups and go over to the other two ships.“The ships communicate with each other and will connect us. But we also have the red boxes. Make sure everyone has one on their person or close by so language differences are not an issue,” she said.
The cabin was more sane. The liquid had worn off and Kaspa, Ruth, Luke, and Lacy were sober and waiting for Meeka to say how they would spend the hour.
“We will each give an account of something bad that has happened in their lives. It will be something really bad they did, or which was done to them. Only us here will share their secret with each other, but no-one else. Each of us must reveal something never told to another, and this will be the first time,” Meeka said.
“Wow, interesting,” Ruth said aloud.
“I think it is like a confessional. Some of the planets we destroyed had belief systems in place where humans did that. Yes. I like the idea. Who will start?” Kaspa said.
“I can say first,” Lacy said putting her hand in the air.”
