A Brief History Of The Roman Catholic Church This year, 2010, has seen the public outcry against the Catholic church over their high-level cover up of both boys and girls in their care being sexually abused. The church, Christian and Islam, are responsible for more misery than for good as far as I am concerned. Religious zealots are a contaminate on the psyche of the human race, and the institutes which purport to support love between members of the human race, have blessed soldiers going into battle, have actively practiced genocide (the Spanish Catholics in South America, have for 2000 years repressed and oppressed women, and stood in the way of truth and enlightenment. I make no apology therefore for illuminating their treachery and innate evil lurking behind the facade of God%u2019s %u2018elected%u2019 advisors on Earth. I think the original Pagan faiths, although themselves often erring in their activities, at least offered a philosophy more in tune with planetary harmony and a balance between humans and nature. Had Islam and Christianity not destroyed the original faith, I am certain we would not be suffering global warming, overpopulation, and the material greed we are filled with today. At least in the UK, the prominence of the Christian church has faded away to be replaced with Science. I am not certain that the replacement is that much better because it is absent of a workable moral philosophy to guide our activities. I wonder if we will ever achieve the utopian culture depicted in Star Trek, where money was no longer required, and people endeavoured to discover and achieve the best in themselves. mol
